Bonjour mes chers lecteurs,
When I started this blog in 2014, one of the first things I leapt headlong into was the “Blogging from A to Z April Challenge.” This event challenges you to write a post every day in April (except Sundays) using each letter of the alphabet sequentially as the center of your posts. It was created by the AmaZing Arlee Bird in 2010, and you can read the history of it HERE.
It’s a big undertaking for a new blogger, but it really helped me get involved in the blogging community, find blogs to follow and followers for my blog. Community really is what blogging is all about, in my opinion. It is another way to make connections, which is really one of the most important things we can do in this life. I can’t imagine blogging into a vacuum, or blogging without reading and commenting on other people’s blogs — that’s part of the fun!
This “A to Z” blogging event is one of the largest “blog hop” type events out there, and a great opportunity to discover new ideas, new thoughts, new authors, new poets, all in a very organized way. It is a fantastic way to “see and be seen” in the blogging world, but it is also a very strenuous challenge! Posting every day for a whole month with a theme and/or purpose is not easy, and not everyone finishes. It’s a bit like I imagine a marathon must be (I have to imagine because I only run if I am being chased!) However, like a marathon, just participating shows a lot of stamina and character.
This year (2016) will be my third time participating in the event, and I have created this page to put all of my A-to-Z posts in one place, in case anyone is interested. My A to Z themes thus far have all been French-centric 🙂
Merci Beaucoup!
