JusJoJan – 1/9/2020

Today’s prompt for Just Jot it January comes from  Maggie at From Cave Walls. Thank you so much, Maggie! Please be sure to visit her blog to read her post and say hello. And follow her while you’re there!.

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 9th, 2020, is “scrumptious.” Use the word “scrumptious” any way you’d like. Have fun!

There was some stress in my day. Had to deal with scam artists (long story) and shipping companies, mean people on social media, (honestly, why bother some days,) and doing computer continuing education modules for work. Ugh.

On days like this, I often turn to something scrumptious for comfort. My husband and I went to Paris a couple months ago and I bought this delicious marshmallow in my favorite flavor, “orange blossom.” In French it is a “guimauve à la fleur d’oranger.” Isn’t it beautiful? I carefully hand carried it all the way from Paris for an occasion such as this.

I stopped, took a breath, made a cup of tea, and slowly savored this marshmallow. It’s one of my favorite treats from La Cure Gourmande when I go to France. I saw a recipe online to make these. I wonder if I should try it? It sure would be scrumptious!

Et vous, chers lecteurs? Do you have a favorite treat when you need to slow down and de stress? Is there something you think is so scrumptious that you’d carry one for thousands of miles to get it home? I’d love to know!
