La vie est belle !

Just my luck – #JusJoJan 10 / One-liner Wednesday

I stole today’s “One-liner” from the book my French class just finished reading: Claude Izner’s “Mystère rue des Saints-Pères.”

It’s time for a French post, I think.

Cette phrase, ce n’est rien de spécial, mais je l’ai appris en lisant ce livre.

“C’est bien ma veine”, ça veut dire “Je n’ai vraiment pas de chance !”

Ce sentiment caractérise ma semaine au travail. Chaque jour, nous avons eu des retards de vol et à cause de cela je suis rentrée chez moi en retard. Quand il y avait un message de retard dans l’avion, je me suis dit, “C’est bien ma veine.” GRRR.

(C’est bien ma veine” means “Oh, it’s just my luck!” in French, and I learned this phrase while reading a book with my French class. It’s been the story of my week, thanks to numerous flight delays. Grf.)

Hope your week goes well, mes chers lecteurs!

It’s also “One-Liner Wednesday” today
