Just Jot it January 9 – Power Bars and Coffee

le 9 janvier, 2017

So…what do you think powers a commercial airliner? Anyone? What’s that? You think it’s jet fuel, aka Jet-A, aka kerosene? Hmmm.  Nope. You’d be wrong on that one. What powers an airliner is coffee. Preferably espresso, maybe a cappuccino, but you really want to keep the caffeine-to-liquid ratio low if you can. In order to avoid doing the “walk of shame.” Oh, and also sometimes “power” bars. Protein is a good thing for jet airplanes too. I’m not really a fan of the power bar myself, but time permitting, I actually don’t mind those ham and cheese sandwiches from the coffee shop. As long as they come with coffee. So if you see a pilot in line at the airport coffee shop, do him/her a favor and let them go ahead of you sometime. It totally makes their day. And yours. Because if they don’t fly, neither does anyone else 🙂

That’s a nice ting to do. I often yield (at intersections) to the guy in the FedEx van or anyone that looks like they might be on a schedule. I’ve been there, and I know how good it feels to catch a break. Thanks for participating in #JusJoJan

I gotta say: I always let the person in an airline uniform go first, no matter what we’re standing in line for! Like you said: if they don’t go, nobody’s going…
