La vie est belle !

I walked right into the stone wall and scraped  my shin. “Ouch!”

“Sorry sweetie, you know you still have to look where you’re going even if you are staring at the GPS…” He grinned, and I punched him in the arm.

“Start looking. It says it’s a small green canister. It’s possible we’re going to have to look around every stone in this wall…it’s only accurate to a point, you know?”

“This part is about as exciting as looking at every item in a Sears Catalog.”

“Well, it’s not like there’s an index on the wall!”

One more writing prompt this week…the Friday “Light and Shade Challenge”  This one is relatively new, having been started by the fearless Lyssa and Tom! Thanks! The Friday challenge is 100 words or less based on Lyssa’s photo and this quote:

“If you don’t find it in the index, look very carefully through the entire catalogue.”
– Sears, Roebuck, and Co., Consumer’s Guide, 1897

The dynamic between the two characters is fun and comfortable. I like the way you wove the quote prompt into the story.

Thanks for the comment, and thanks for creating the challenge! I love your ideas, and the short word count keeps me thinking about how I use each word 🙂
