Gratefulness – Trifecta 113

The Trifecta Challenge this week is to write exactly 33 words using the 3rd definition of the following word:

WORM (transitive verb)

1a :  to proceed or make (one’s way) insidiously or deviously<worm their way into positions of power     — Bill Franzen>

:  to insinuate or introduce (oneself) by devious or subtle means

:  to cause to move or proceed in or as if in the manner of a worm

:  to wind rope or yarn spirally round and between the strands of (a cable or rope) before serving

Written in response to this week’s Trifecta challenge:

Asking for nothing,
He obtained everything his heart desired.
He easily wormed his way into their hearts,
Had the best food, the best friends, the best bed…
Just being grateful had its advantages.

Oh, I was so worried heartworm was going to appear. Whew!
Gratitude can get you quite far on four legs!

I am a sucker for thoughtful pet poems. Love where you took the trifecta this week.

Thanks for stopping by and reading ! Yes, I still miss the guy in this pic even though he’s been gone for nearly 10 years…

So sweet! I’m not much of a dog person, but I adore greyhounds – I have friends who foster (and adopt) rescues all the time. They really do worm their way into your heart, don’t they?
